Restoring a '55 Ford f-100. I want to put a ford 460 in it. What do I need to upgrade on the chasis?

I want to put a short block 460 in this tiny truck to go cross country. Before I leave I'm doing a full restoration. I believe I have to upgrade the differentials and suspension. However the truck I'm am looking at has a column shifter. I want to put it back on the floor. What type of transmission should I buy to link up with the 460?
