Is a Chevy 350 with 200 thousnad miles worth getting?

I am about to pull the motor out a truck that's gonna get scrapped is the motor worth saving and keeping maybe to rebuild or whatever. I'm getting it for free complete with everything carburetor intake water pump and what not my cousin was telling me is wouldn't be worth it but IT'S FREE what do you think
