Why do people buy Japanese trucks?

Why do people buy them? They aren't as powerful as American trucks and are a joke at towing. I don't hate any Americans truck, since they are all great. When people say American cars suck, well some have, so have some European And Asian cars. Even Nissan asked dodge to built the Titan For them. Tundra is a piece garbage also. Also when ever you go to a construction site they always have American Trucks not Japanese.
